Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Ask Augustus (“the service”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you are authorized to do so.

The service

Ask Augustus researches, drafts, optimizes, and publishes website content, and monitors its search performance, for the sites you connect. Parts of the service use AI models to generate text and images. You direct what is generated and where it is published.

Your account

Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be legally able to enter this agreement.

Your content and connected services

• You retain ownership of the content in your workspace, including content the service generates for you. We claim no rights to it beyond what is needed to operate the service.
• You are responsible for the sites and third-party accounts you connect (for example your CMS, Google Search Console, or Google Analytics) and confirm you are authorized to connect them. Integrations act with the permissions you grant and only at your direction; you can disconnect them at any time.
• AI-generated content can contain errors. The service includes review and fact-checking workflows, and you decide what gets approved and published; you are responsible for content you publish.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to infringe the rights of others, to publish deceptive or harmful content, to probe or disrupt the service, or to connect sites or accounts you do not control. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk.

Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed by subscription through Stripe at the prices shown on the pricing page. Usage limits and features depend on your plan. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and paid features remain available through the period already paid for. Trials, where offered, are described at sign-up.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service reliable but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may improve or change features over time, and we will not materially reduce what your plan includes during a paid period without notice.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee search rankings, traffic, or business outcomes. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; where practical we will warn you first.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update this page and its date, and announce material changes in the product. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
